Subject: [Leica] Starbucks

I have only the vaguest recollection of these. Is there a thin chain you
pull a some point? It seems that the restaurant I washed dishes in
(1966) had one of those. I was less imaginative then and didn't question
what was happening.

Yep they're called vacuum pots and I have a few (Cona being the king of
them
all) They produce the cleanest and purest cup of coffee you can get
because 
the only things in contact with the coffee and water is glass which
doesn't
impart any flavour. They also make a great centrepiece for the dinner
table
to round off a wonderful evening meal with friends...
