Subject: [Leica] Erwin on the new M-50/1.4 ASPH
From: jbcollier at shaw.ca (John Collier)

I was away for the weekend and missed the latest Erwin review review
until now. I just would like to add that this review of Erwin's reads
like a real review: hardly any superlatives, some negative points and a
cautious recommendation. He says he would buy one but admits that
others may prefer Leica's other 50 offerings. I am impressed.

On the actual content of the review, I am excited to note he feels it
has even better flare suppression than the Noctilux. Be still my heart!
Bokeh looks to be similar to the 35/1.4 (sometimes smooth, sometimes
harsh) which is OK by me. Oh well the proof will be in the portion of
pudding allotted to me. I will let you know how my sample performs when
the Leica gods deign to send my way the I have on order.
