Subject: [Leica] Rangefinder adjustment question

Thanks Vic,

It's my MP. All my lenses except the CV 32/2.8 are just a hair short of
infinity. I made the adjustment and they are correct now, at least the ones
I have in the office today. I'll be making some tests. I rarely shoot at
infinity it seems.

Hmmm. What camera?

To be sure, you need to focus the RF and check the image with a
groundglass.

If all your true Leica lenses focus the same (50f2, 35f2, others), then
the body is likely out.

And the VC is likely a bit out too. The VC lens is going "too deep"
into the body.

If the photos turn out fine, and you can live with it, then great. The
adjustment isn't too hard, but does need to be done carefully.

Vick

Subject: [Leica] Rangefinder adjustment question

Hello,

The rangefinder doesn't quite make it to infinity on my 50/2 and my
35/2. On my VC 35/2.8 it goes past infinity a hair. Can someone tell
me if this needs attention, ala trip to Sherry K, or am I being
unnecessarily picky?

Thanks,

Chris Saganich
