Absolutely. And the same can be said for the Canon F1. Either that or the 
Nikon F can be used to hammer nails and keep on going - drop an M 3 feet to 
the floor and then send it to Sherry Krauter to get the rangefinder 
adjusted, if not reconstructed. The only trick to keeping those Nikons and 
Canons going is to have them properly overhauled - just like Ms.

Yes. They can and do. I've got two of them which just keep going flawlessly.
