The Casio 6mp has virtually no shutter lag if you turn off the
autofocus.

Quick comment- Having started to shoot heavily with
digital,(Digilux 1 and others) I am slowly getting a
full kit of digitals. I needed something to take the
place of my Olympus XA, which always sat on my belt-
ALWAYS!-  I also needed something that had very little
shutter lag as I street shoot. Anyway, I looked at the
"R Tune" seies by Kyocera- but their claim to fame is
shooting sequences- the first shot is still "laggy". I
finally settled on an Pentax Optio s4i- Credit card
sized, very complete as to options, and
extraordinarily fast, almost zero lag when you press
the shutter. It now sits on my belt "Always!!"- See
