The reality is that a decent size 5 mgp CCD will produce stunning
images. Yes, the larger CCDs at 7-8 mgp will produce higher res, but for
most things, 5-6 is more than sufficient; I am getting 13x19 prints with
my 5+ mgp 4/3 E-1 that look just as good, if not better, than tri-x at
the same size.

I think the problem is the camera manufacturers marketing depts. Digital
cameras are sold primarily on the megapixel scale. The problem being a 5
megapixel camera with a smaller sized CCD will not produce the same
results as one with a larger CCD. Its all very confusing to the consumer
because of how the manufacturers are selling them, in my opinion.
