Greg,
Yer mean! ;-) Walking backwards and follow focusing... OUCH! Been there done
it. On many occasion and wished I had auto-focus on more than one. ;-)

Only a shooter who's had to do it in pushing shoving political tour crowds
understands this form of manual follow focus. ;-) Oh yeah and doing it
while the little old ladies are jabbing you in the back with their canes or
umbrellas to get out of the way so they can shake the PM's hand. :-)

Or worse shooting the Calgary Stampede and "manually" follow focusing on the
horse and rider riding hard straight at you from the other side of the arena
while follow focusing the 400 6.8 push-pull focus ring. But the toughest
part with this lens is the action is coming at you, yet to keep it in focus
you must push the lens barrel in the opposite direction towards the oncoming
action as it gets bigger in the viewfinder!!!!!

And try that with the 560mm and it can put the fear of all get out when it
looks like the horse is about to create " your last picture was your best
last picture!" ;-)
