Subject: [Leica] Secret service, bruised egos and Your Shot

Talking about humorless secret service guys barking at you, a couple years
ago I was photographing president clinton walking down a line of supporters
shaking hands, I was stuck in one spot because of the crowd and when he came
past, I fired off as many shots as I could, maybe six or seven (none of
which came out by the way) when a secret service guy got right in my face
and snapped "Hey! That's enough pictures!" in the way in which an angry
parent would chastise a child and it really, well, I don't know, I felt
totally repremanded and left the event with a sour taste in the pit of my
stomache that took a long time to get over. I realize they're doing their
jobs, they're not paid to be nice, and the president probably said to them
at one time or another "keep the people with the flashes out of my face, I
hate being blinded by that..." but, at the same time, it's difficult,
especially as an adult, not to feel bad after you've been yelled at.
