Hi Adam,
As much as I find the B&W interesting, although I feel a tad short in focal
length use. I have a small visual and film choice problem.

The good news first: The plus is you shot it from the "shadow side therefore
creating a greater degree of "shape and form" to the structure. And possibly
the use of a polarizing filter to darken the sky. If not, it's the angle
shooting upwards to one of those beautiful plain old fashion blue-black
skies that happen occasionally.

However, it's my understanding what makes this church unique is it's
structure, the "Copper Top Church." So surely looking at the clear sky
behind it, would it not have looked better shooting it in colour to bring
out the "copper colour?" Against the rich blue-black sky?

Or the possibility because it's constructed in Copper it's aged to the green
of oxidized copper roofing. Even if this were the case would it not be more
effective in colour and slightly tighter?

You said you did shoot it in colour but didn't like it. So what was the
visual problem you didn't like it in colour?
