FTR the Manchester Guardian stopped publishing under that title in the
60s and 
simply became The Guardian (or "Grauniad" as it is known in some circles
on 
account of its proof reading skills, or lack thereof, moving its offices
to 
London, where they remain. Guardian Newspapers is in fact controlled by
a trust 
which holds a number of titles - and also Guardian Unlimited.
