My daughter just returned from a band tour where they played a show in 
Chapel Hill with another band called "Sans Culottes".  This is a NY group 
dedicated to retro French pop and rock from the 60s-70s.  They do covers of 
Serge Gainsbourg and other French pop stars of the era.  They have a web 
site you can locate through Google if anyone's interested.  I never 
developed a taste for it myself.
