B. D.

No you did not actually say it, but you certainly did imply it in your
writings.

Uh, Greg? Anyone who R E A D S the posts know that I did not say that
"all new 50mm Summiluxes in the first batch are defective" or anything
like it. Do you know what quotation marks are for?

This is what I wrote:

"And we can, of course, talk about the bygone age when Leica made
produced top quality equipment, as opposed to the current age when they
apparently can't even produce a 50 mm lens without having mechanical
problems in the first batch." And that is, of course, an absolutely
accurate description of the situation.

Oddly enough, I don't see the words "all the new 50mm Summiluxes in the
first batch are defective," which is what you quoted me as saying. Nor
do I believe anyone who is able to read say that what I wrote even
suggests that all the lenses were defective.

As to my calling you "an asshole," I'm just expressing myself in
language I'm sure you can understand, and that even you could probably
quote correctly.

B. D.

As to your "agreeing with me" ... I doubt that anyone reading your post
- other than you - would come to that conclusion

Er no. Actually I was agreeing with you. Pretty rare isn't it!

I really don't have time to "detest" anyone. Not even the likes of foul
mouthed fools.

If light of your recent based on one report comment I have no further
comment except I'm still looking for the $ 1,200 F5's and the $850 M6's.
