For cameras under passport would there still be a fee do you know?
I had my M7's done, they're both under Passport plus the 2-yr extension. I
had to pay. Personally I think it's bad-faith on Leica's part with respect
to
the early-production M7's, because they began installing the MP finders less
than a year after the M7 came out so it's hard to believe they didn't have
it
all planned out. And it's not like the el-cheapo ISO dial they switched to
on
the MP (although that's certainly a detraction from the MP's retro-kitsh
appeal), the RF is a major functional deal. I believe they should have done
the MP
finder upgrades as a goodwill courtesy for those who were loyal and bought
the M7 right away. I don't know about others but because of this experience
I'll never buy another Leica product in the first year of production again.
