Asunto: [Leica] MP Viewfinder on M6

I got the following quote from Leica UK for my M6 which had a dicky
rangefinder.

1: Adjust tension spring and spindles. Adjust shutter speeds, adjust
rangefinder, check all functions:
Labour 49.50.

or

2: Carry out all the above plus convert mask to MP type:
Labour 92.50
Parts 22.29

I went for option 2 and they turned it around in four days.

All amounts in GBP and do not include VAT at 17.5%.

Neil

Luis

Why don't you get a MP viewfinder for your M6 and spend the rest of the
money for new lenses? Leica's offering to put the MP7 vf in all M6,
M6-TTL
and early M7 cameras (AFAIK the newer M7 have the MP vf anyway). On the
message board of www.leicainfo.de I've read this costs less than 300
Euro.

For a 21mm lens, as a good alternative there's the Voigtlander 4.0/21mm.
