Not only that, you can replace the screen with one that has a 
microprism or split-screen focusing aid.  This allows you to actually 
be able to precision focus.

The consumer EOS cameras have tiny finders with a very low-contrast 
matte focusing screens that makes it impossible (for my eyes) to 
focus manually. I dunno how Tina and the others do it.
