Subject: [Leica] Are there different Summilux 75 versions?
From: rangefinder at screengang.com (Didier Ludwig)

I have a 1997 "Made in Germany" Summilux 1.4/75mm and have now found an
original box and leather pouch for this lens, on a internet auction. The
box is titled Summilux 1.4/75 (Made in Canada), the pouch has just a Leica
Logo - and is too small for my lens.

The lenght could fit, but the size of the front is much too large to fit
the foam rubber inlay. The inlay would allow a total diamtere of approx
57mm, but should be 67mm (E60 plus collapsible hood around).

Does anyone on the list know if there were different builds of this lens? I
just cant imagine a 1.4/75mm being smaller at the front, so I guess the
seller has put the wrong pouch in the right box.

Any advice is appreciated
TIA
Didier
