Subject: [Leica] enlarging lens serial number
From: brad at bradbrad.com (brad daly)

the focotar enlarging lens that i mentioned a couple of weeks ago has a
5-digit serial number starting with 176. do enlarging lens serial
numbers follow the same pattern as other leica lenses? that would make
this a 1933 lens, so i think not.

i also got hold of a 5cm summarit. i tried to look up the serial
number and find a manufacture year, and i get 1949, so obviously i'm
confused about something. it's #7405xx.
