Subject: [Leica] Quiz time....

Interesting - I was really startled when I first heard this, and thought
it was an aberration - but now I've heard it enough times to know that
it is not. My assumption is that Dad is selecting a career path for
junior that Dad feels will guarantee economic security - but who knows.

There is a lot of truth to that. As the first college kid in the family,
I
totally chose my own destiny and career path (which I can't explain to
them, it's tough to explain writing embedded compilers to folks who
hardly
speak English!) and my wife and I try hard not to push our kidz too
hard.
Fortunately (!) neither of our kidz is a genius type in math or music or

any of the traditional things that Asians suppose to excel in.... It's a

difficult fine line to tread as a parent.
