For me, it's totally the opposite I look at a scene and think "wow, this
would be better if it were being dive bombed by UFO's." either the
world's
just not weird enough for me, or I'm too lazy to find the good stuff. 

Once you figure out where to put the light, the hard part starts,
because
you have to figure out what to put in front of it.
