Hi David,
I don't have anything to contribute just now, except to let you know 
that I'm still using a 3000, and will follow this thread with great 
interest. At the moment I'm still using it with standard color inks, 
but I really want to go to a six ink (at least) printer for color, so 
I've been looking at the quadtone possibilities. Have you tried, or 
researched, any of the other candidates, such as (I think) Luminos and 
Lysonic?
