What do you call "late model."  Alpa's last models were 10d, 11e, and 
various configurations of them. Somewhere in the 80's, Alpa started 
re-badging an Asian SLR (I don't remember the manufacturer - perhaps 
Chinon- as I was not interested) so a "late model" Alpa SLR might not be an 
Alpa.
