My first lens for my M3 was a 35/3.5 Summaron M. It was an M2 Summaron, no
eyes. I just used the full VF on the M3. Worked well for 3 years until I got
a 35/f2 and finder.

an M3 especially if you're on a budget.  The goggles reduce the VF to about
a 0.85, but that isn't too bad.  The M3 viewfinder is a sight to behold.
