I get by on lithium batteries - more rolls per set than I every care to
count. However, I don't shoot a roll at a subject - I'm a very conservative
shooter. I know one working pro who used the rechargeable NiMH Nikon battery
packs - he work on the assignment with three - one fresh out the door, one
fresh in the bag and one in the charger. I don't know how many others. I
don't know the count but beats everything in blister packs.

I get much better frame count with my F100 on alkaline than my F5 on
lithium. I just carry spares and don't worry. I rarely shoot more than 5
rolls an outing. My batteries usually go for 20+ rolls.

I hope you get a definitive answer. I've quite worrying about battery
consumption. Lithium's have gotten me anywhere I need to go and back. An
extra set is light weight.
