Don - try 15-55-1 - It has little or no sharpening effect to these naked
eyes, but it provides the necessary contrast pop.

Yup, the 50 ASPH probably at F11 or so.  The sharpness is probably due
to using USM at 25/50/1 to brighten things up a bit.  Also, when I was
scaling down to web size I was using bicubic sharper to see what
happened.  But the lens is just screaming sharp at any reasonable
distance or aperture. :)

Don....I love this shot, but it seems 
almost "too sharp"  or is it all in the 
processing? ...  I just hope it  wasn't 
taken with the M 50 ASPH....
