Hi everyone

Just wondering if any of you on the list have had any experience with the 
new Epson 4990 flatbed scanner. At present I have the 1650 photo and 
frankly, when it comes to 35mm, it simply doesn't,t cut it.

How comparable is the 4990 to a dedicated film scanner, say Minolta 5400.?

I could of course just get a dedicated film scanner but I have 35mm, medium 
format ,as well as 4x5.
