That's the great thing about Raw!  It's impossible to screw it up.  You 
always have the original file that contains every bit of information that 
was there when you took the photo.  You can screw it up when you convert it 
and work on it, but you will always have the original file to go back to 
and convert as many different ways as you want to until you get it 
right.  That's why it's compared so often to a negative.  You can screw up 
a print in the darkroom, but, if you have the negative you can always go 
back and make another print.

You'll get it, don't worry.  In the meantime, just save your Raw files as 
you would save any negative.
