It looks like the swiss owned Leica Geosystems AG is confronted with an 
attempt of unfriendly takeover by the swedish technology company Hexagon. 
Unified, Leica Geosystems/Hexagon would be the worldwide marketleader for 
measurement technologies.

This might be of interest for the LUG as Leica Geosystems is co-owner of 
the brand Leica.
