To me that outfit (i.e. all the stuff you list above) does not sound 
excessive for a major trip. If you want to lighten the equipment a bit, 
then skip the 90mm for the Leica. Also skip your laptop, 6 GB of space 
is probably enough, or buy a 20-40 GB image tank type of thingie, it is 
small and light enough to carry in your camera bag.

I do not know about performance of the Nikon batteries, but the battery 
in my Canon lasts comfortably for a whole day's shooting (200-300 
pictures), so I only carry one charged spare.
