Of course. I truly appreciate honest and straightforward comments, even if
they do not agree with what the poster found of the image(s) himself.
IMO it's the only way to learn something.
I remember the DOF debate on the winter shot (if I remember correctly,
Nathan wasn't fond of it either), and if I had to redo it, I'd shoot (or
crop) it at a square format, with the front-out-of-focus-balls just entering
the bottom of the frame.
And maybe this is the kind of picture to do with an SLR, too, because an RF
and DOF is always a bit guessing (unless one uses his infrared measurement
system ;-)
