Subject: [Leica] Photos on public transit

I just returned from UK (London, Edinburgh). We arrived the day of the
bombing, literally the morning of the bombing.

Later in the week, we flew to Edinburgh, and police are walking the
station in pairs with rifles. One pair was questioning a lady because
she snapped a photo of the airport, and they were going through her
camera looking for something. The interesting thing with digital
cameras is that they can review all your photos on the spot. What if it
were film, would they confiscate the entire film? I wasn't going to
ask.

In London, a security person shouted to another tourist, after she
snapped a photo, that she wasn't allowed to take any more.

I also saw a sign somewhere (subway, train station, can't remember) that
said "NO FLASH PHOTO's".

It is interesting that the first and only footage of the 7/7 event were
phone video and phone photos? How times have changed.

I wonder if there has been any film footage that has been taken or
analyzed at all, except for the surveillance cameras (aren't they video,
on tape?),

Regards,

Vick Ko
