I agree with Luis' recommendations for Madrid. I would only add the
antiques/junk market in the El Rastro area on Sundays (I think it is on
Sundays). But aside from Madrid, if Gabby has a day or two to spare, she
can take advantage of the excellent AVE high speed train and go down to
Seville for a day. Hotels down there are cheaper than in Madrid, as is
the food, and it is a wonderful city. The train from Madrid takes 2:25
hours to cover the 550-600 km and there is one every hour.

If you think she might be interested in something like that, let me know
and I will send you Seville tips and some links off-list.
Hi Nathan,

Thanks for the info. yes she likes to shop the markets for antiques etc.
She will be there for a month, so I expect she will get out to see the area
when
ever possible. Please do send tips for Seville. She is looking for a
apartment last week, but don't know how that went, but I think she has a bit
of time
before she leaves for Madrid.

I have already sent the reccomendations from Luis to her, and i suspect our
other Spanish family members have some more ideas. I have already told her
she
must take lots of photos. ;-)

Thanks
