Nor have I.  I don't think I made my point clear enough.  My point was
that b&w and/or color can be scanned acceptably for a lot of purposes.
The person whom steve mentioned in the earlier post had asserted that
"b&w" scans had no value.  I think they have lots of value, for lots of
uses.
