Hi Alastair,
It depends on how long you keep them in the bag and used as a bean bag. I've 
found good raisins are OK sealed in a Ziploc bag for about 3 months in a 
shoulder bag before they try to escape. ;-) But usually they are changed 
several times due to eating before the 3 months are up.:-)

I might mention if one is inclined to add " a little alcohol flavouring to 
them" ;-) It doesn't work! ;-) Trust me a couple of my shooter friends 
during the Olympics have tried it on several occasions and although it 
smells interesting upon opening the bag after a week or so, the taste 
experience is beyond description! :-)
