Scanned from negatives.

I have the film processed at a local pro lab.

This thread originated when I experienced difficulty getting a decent
scan with HP5+, using a Nikon LS-4000, with either Nikon's software, or
with Vuescan. Apparently others have had the same problem, while others
do not. With my Epson flatbed 4180, however, these are the results I
get, which are far, far, better than I have been able to get, so far,
with the Nikon film scanner.

I normally use BW400CN, or T400CN, if I can get it, and do not have any
difficulty scanning the negatives, either with the Epson 4180, or with
the Nikon LS-4000.
