I wish I could claim I understood what I did to fix it. But in any event 
it's working again.

(Tech comment: I think there was a dependency problem in the PHP4.4.0 
package(=RPM) that caused some dynamically loadable segment not to get 
updated).

There are now 7500 images in the LUG Gallery. Keep on uploading.
