And I do not consider it a veiled or otherwise insult.... it is a strategy for survival. How many times do you feel Hermes will dump $$$ into Leica before it gives up? BTW, an interesting side note is the number of prototype and really odd Leica lenses and special body parts that have suddenly appeared on Ebay..... all from German sellers.... Reducing inventory to raise cash can be done in many ways,,,,, Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net This tread is just an thinly veiled insult to Leica. This time the Leica CAMERA BODY. I'm sure it's as obvious and likely that Leica make glass for Canon as it is Canon make glass for Nikon. Or Pentax make glass for Minolta. The people involved would all consider it an insult.
