Steve,

The first one is beautiful, poignant, like so many of your pictures. The 
second one is one of those rare occasions where a Steve Barbour image 
does not quite work for me. I understand the idea: a girl with cancer is 
reading about Lance Armstrong and presumably deriving inspiration from 
his story; but for either the pen is too prominent, or her face is too 
out of focus, or both.
