The only "news" is that we might see a digital M protoype at the Orlando PMA 
in next february. All other "facts" have been discussed largely on this and 
other lists. I still do not expect Leica shipping a digi M before 2007; even 
if they have "learnt the dangers of tardiness and are now bent on speeding 
up the development and supply cycle". Leica speeding up? THAT would be 
really new! 

$5000 is less than I was fearing. If I count 20 months until shipping might 
be reality; this means $250 monthly savings for me... ok let's go... 

But as the journalist does not specify his source, the whole article might 
be rumourware.
