Subject: [Leica] DMR B&W 1600 ISO
From: leica at robsteve.com (Robert Stevens)

We were at a pub for supper last night and I decided to try the DMR
in B&W mode. It seems to perform very well.

Here is one at 1600 iso. I missed the focus, it was on his shoulder
rather than his eyes. It was shot with the 50mm summilux at f1.7 and
1/90th. A digital M would be easier to focus in this low light.

Here is the same scene at 800 iso.

This is my son in the same pub. One side of his face is in the
shadow, the other some ambient light from a window. Once again 1600
iso, f1.7 and 1/90th. The DMR seems to produce very even grain like
noise as seen in the shadows unter the tables and the door way.

Here is a 100% crop. It was the eye on the left side of the picture
that was in focus.
