Tina, I prefer B&W, it helps to be concentrated on the power of the image,
it ads more drama.

The only exception is this image:
http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/image/50600994

Why? Because in colour you appreciate better the different shoes of the
children on the chair, this detail has touch me very much!.

IMO is not the same the original B&W picture you take in B&W than a Colour
converted to B&W, I think first at all your mind is different when you are
taking a picture in colour or B&W, you have a different mentality, on the
other hand the grey scale is probably more rich.

Beside all these comments, great images!!!

Saludos desde Barcelona
Luis

PAWs:

The family that I stayed with this September lives in San Pablo
Atitlan, Guatemala, one of the villages that was destroyed by
landslides from Hurricane Stan. I've tried to find out what happened
to this Tzutujil family, but have not gotten answers to the e-mails
that I've sent to the agencies that I work with. The extended family
lives in a tiny, remote, village on the shores of the most beautiful
lake in the world, surrounded by volcanoes that slid into the lake.
These are just the jpegs that were recorded automatically along with
the RAW photos that I also haven't had time to process. I hope with
everything else that is going on in the world that you'll remember this
family.
