I agree - I bought a dual G5 machine at the beginning of the summer
and loaded it up with 4GB of RAM from Crucial. It's a vast improvement
in running PS and my huge iTunes library and a browser vs. my old
G4/933.

But if Apple says Aperture will run on a G4 PB, the only impediment to
it running (even better) on a dual G4 desktop would be a Core
Graphics-compatible video card (which is an easy aftermarket upgrade).
Even the dinky video card in my 12" iBook will run Core Graphics.

But rather than saying that up front, they just claim 'no G4s allowed'
and make consumers believe they absolutely need a new desktop to run
Aperture.
