Subject: [Leica] Is the Angenieux 70-210 zoom for Leica R any good?

Angenieux makes some very, very sharp movie and TV lenses. Their
25-250mm is a real evergreen.

I saw a test somewhere, which indicated that one of their Super16
lenses delivered an insane amount of resolution, in the neighborhood
of over 200 lines. That's twice as much as some of the best Leica
glass. It also costs over $20,000.

Of course this is no indication of how the R zoom performs.

When I was working TV documentaries, I was in love with my Angenieux 9.5-57
I think it was f 1.6 at the wide. Most guys used the 12-120, but the
company made a line of primes too. What wonderful lenses!
