Charles Osgood, in Economics, as does Martha Teichner. Dan Rather has his degree in Journalism. Rush Limbaugh (heh) did not go to college. When I was a TV News Producer, we had young graduate reporters who seemed to have never studied AP Style. One time, a reporter brought me a piece of copy, and I told him that if he could diagram that lead sentence, then I'd let it go to air. He re-wrote the sentence. While no one enforces the use of the AP stylebook, (a goodly number of shops are not AP members,) it is more than convenient to have standards spelled out.
