I believe Minolta built both the CL and the CLE. Leica will still repair  
the 
CL. Repair of the CLE is iffy. The CL is more Leica-like.
It has more precision and it's fully mechanical. It's the compact version  
of 
the Leica M5. I replaced the strap on my CL with a nylon type. I love to  
use 
it.
