Daniel,
I have to agree with you on the choice of the Summitar.  My memory is 
cloudy, but I think my Summarit went in the trade that brought me my current 
Summitar.  The apperture ring was stiff, so I sent it in for a CLA and it is 
now a great performer.  I also have a 50/3.5 Elmar, which dates to 1946, not 
quite as old as yours.  It has served me well for many years.  My smallest 
kit consists of the Elmar mounted on my IIIa, along with a Briteline finder 
to accommodate my eyeglasses.  The Summitar works great on my IIIf.  I enjoy 
all of your images, even when the daylight disappears for a while.
