Subject: [Leica] Japanese paper reports Canon to take over Leica
From: summarex at hotmail.com (Javier Perez)

Yes, and an eventual death for almost all M and R cameras and lenses.
If Canon wants Leica, it's either as a trophy or as a source for premium
glass to replace it's L line. Much as I have whined and bitched about
the need to see Leitz glass on AF and other mounts besides R, a Canon-Leica
lens available only on EOS mount with shabby EOS L construction is not what
I had in mind. I think we should think of this more as the rape of Leica!
If only I had the money, I'd buy up the entire lens design team, put them to
work in a new shop and let the whole world know!
Happy New Year
Javier
