Me too, I bought one a few years ago, concerned that my investment  
would be short lived and new better machines would tempt me before  
long, but that was the end of it, the market went digital so quickly  
once people were satisfied with the quality that I imagine there is  
pretty well no market for film scanners.
Mind you good scans take me so long that I often don't have time to  
scan as much as I would like. I took 14 rolls of 120 film on my  
August holiday and have only scanned 4 frames so far.
