Subject: [Leica] Divided D-76, and the lower 9th ward

Ken,

He's taking it with stoicism. He fortunately moved from West End (right
where the 17th Street Canal breached its levee) several years ago. They
moved into an apartment right on the OTHER side of the lake levee at West
End. As a result, they didn't get water damage (the city filled up with
water, and it was held in by the levees protecting us from the lake). His
problem is that everything leading up to his apartment complex is totally
destroyed, so ENTERGY is not spending any time restoring electricity in that
area. He is a very humble South Korean pastor who doesn't complain about
anything. He has one more year to reach 65, after which he will move and
take it easy. It is remarkable that he is staying where he is to serve his
church (we are squatting in a Metairie John Calvin Presbyterian Church
Sunday mornings). He's cheerful and upbeat despite his situation. He
wouldn't have been offended by your levity. :-)

I withdraw the funny comments.....not funny when you're struggling to
live without the amenities.
