Aaron,
The image you posted in response to my comments was very close to what I had
imagined.  I was envisioning a much tighter shot of just you son but from a
high enough angle to show his had curling over the rail but the frame just
barely larger than your son.

It is all artistic vision, you are the artist so your vision wins.  :)
