Subject: [Leica] Concrete buildings on UC Davis - ick

Keep in mind that California cherishes buildings that won't fall apart
during an earthquake. Nothing quite like the security of steel-reinforced
concrete.

Buildings of this type all look like penal institutions to me. I
don't think it possible to depict their ugliness sufficiently in a
photograph. You succeeded in getting the middle gray right and I
like the first one best because of the contrast between the rough,
ugly concrete and the smooth, prettier if still cold modern glass
entrance.
